Monkey ‘kidnaps’ clueless puppy, leaps into tree with the terrified animal in its arms

This monkey has become an unlikely kidnapper, stealing the spotlight—and a puppy! The bizarre incident took place at the Lodhi Mata Temple in Narwar town, Shivpuri district in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, and has since gone viral.

Footage from September 24 shows the monkey proudly wandering the temple grounds with the puppy clinging tightly to its chest.

Devotees and locals looked on with a mixed feeling of amazement and horror as the monkey skillfully climbed walls and trees, all while keeping its tiny companion close.

Despite onlookers’ attempts to lure the monkey away with food, it remained resolute, refusing to part with the bewildered pup.
