Taekwondo master from southern India sets Guinness World Record by breaking 29 flaming concrete blocks in thirty seconds
N Narayanan, a distinguished Taekwondo instructor from southern India’s Tamil Nadu, has achieved his 33rd Guinness World Record.
Narayan set a new record by breaking 29 flaming concrete blocks with an axe kick in just 30 seconds in Madurai. The video was shot on January 9 and it was approved on April 16.

Visuals showed him breaking the concrete blocks set on fire on a terrace and noting down the time as well.
This remarkable feat demonstrates his exceptional skill and dedication to the martial art.
His previous records include breaking 48 concrete blocks with an axe kick in one minute.
Narayanan’s journey in Taekwondo began in 2009 after a disappointing loss in a competition, which motivated him to take the sport seriously. Under the guidance of his master, Venkatesan, he transformed into a professional martial artist. Despite a successful career in IT, Narayanan’s passion for Taekwondo led him to establish the Madurai Taekwondo Academy in 2015.
At his academy, Narayanan offers free classes to students from government schools and colleges, aiming to build confidence and discipline among young people. His wife, N Shruthy, also a Taekwondo practitioner, assists in teaching and has inspired many to pursue martial arts.
Narayanan’s recent Guinness World Record is a testament to his dedication and skill. His achievements continue to inspire and uplift his community, making him a respected figure in Madurai and beyond.
