In a recent incident in southern India’s Kerala, four individuals who were stranded in a river were rescued by firefighter officials.

Visuals showed firefighters using a lengthy rope with careful expertise to safely guide four individuals, all wearing life jackets, from the river to the secure riverbank.

According to reports, residents of Karnataka entered the river around noon, seeking refuge on a rock when the water flow suddenly intensified. Among them were an elderly woman, a man, and two young individuals who had ventured into the river for bathing and washing. Initially, the water level was low when they entered, but it quickly rose, trapping them on the rock. They waited there for about two hours until help arrived.

Reportedly, Electricity Minister and Chittoor MLA K Krishnankutty, supervised the rescue operation, commended the firefighters for their remarkable efforts. Expressing relief and gratitude, the minister applauded the fire force personnel, saying, “Hats off to the fire force personnel for their outstanding efforts. Fortunately, all four individuals are safe and sound.”
