In a separate operation in Anantnag district, two militants were neutralized. Sources revealed that militants had been hiding in a residential building in Khanyar, located in downtown Srinagar.
In a statement, Jammu and Kashmir police confirmed that the search operation in Khanyar led to an exchange of fire and that police and security forces are actively monitoring the situation.
