Sudden downpour floods in western India with two inches of rain in just an hour making cars float like toys
In a small town of western India’s Gujarat, a sudden and intense rainstorm drenched the area with two inches of rainfall in just an hour.
The incident took place in Khambhat town of Anand district on August 23.
Visuals showed how the flood water level has risen up to waist level and people can be seen struggling to commute and a car literally moving with the flow of the water.
According to reports, this unexpected downpour led to significant waterlogging in the town, causing disruptions in daily life. Local vendors struggled to protect their goods from the floodwaters, while residents worked to clear the water from their homes and businesses. Such heavy rainfall in a short period is unusual for the region, leaving many unprepared for the rapid flooding.
