Successful rescue and release of sub-adult Sambar in northeastern India

In a commendable wildlife conservation effort, a male sub-adult Sambar was rescued from a tea estate in northeastern India’s Assam and successfully released back into the wild.

 

The incident took place near Difloo Tea Estate near Kaziranga National Park in the Golaghat district on July 17.

Visuals showed an injured male sub-adult Sambar, who was wounded, received essential but minor treatment from the rescue team. After providing the necessary care, the team carefully placed the Sambar on a stretcher and transferred him into an animal rescue vehicle. The vehicle then transported the Sambar to a safe location, where he was released back into the wild.

 

In a heartwarming demonstration of effective wildlife management, a male sub-adult Sambar was rescued from a drain near Difloo Tea Estate and safely returned to its natural habitat. The operation was carried out with precision and care, ensuring the young deer received the necessary basic treatment before its release.
