Student rescued after getting head stuck between pillars
A potentially tragic accident was narrowly averted when a Class 3 student, Saritha, found her head stuck between two pillars on the school premises.
The incident took place at Pulijala Primary School in Achhampet Mandal, Nagarkurnool district, Andhra Pradesh on December 7.
Visual shows the girl’s head trapped between the pillars, while the masons worked carefully to demolish one of them. Their efforts successfully freed the child without causing her any harm.
According to reports, the incident caused panic among school staff and students. Despite repeated attempts by the school staff to free her, their efforts proved futile. Recognizing the situation’s urgency, they sought help from local masons in the village. The quick action ensured Saritha escaped unscathed, much to the relief of her teachers and peers.
The school management expressed gratitude to the villagers for their timely intervention, which prevented what could have been a grave incident. Parents and locals have since called for safety measures to be improved within the school to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
