Stray dogs chase school children in southern India, narrowly escaping attack
In a terrifying incident in southern India’s Kerala three school children narrowly escaped an attack by stray dogs on their way to school.
The incident took place at Kalpakanchery village in Malappuram district on June 13.
Visuals showed three school girls were on their way to school when two stray dogs started chasing them. One girl fell down, but she didn’t panic. She quickly got up and threw stones at the dogs to scare them away. Eventually, the dogs left the scene.
The CCTV footage, which surfaced online, reveals the frightening moments when the children tried to escape the pursuing canines.
Local residents have voiced their growing concerns about the increasing stray dog population in the area, which has made it difficult for them to move around safely. The incident has highlighted the urgent need for authorities to address the stray dog issue to ensure the safety of the community, especially young school children.
