Stray Dog Sneaks Into Hospital, Steal Away Patient’s Meal From Emergency Ward
In a shocking incident, a stray dog entered the emergency and surgical ward of the district hospital and ran off with a patient’s food due to gates being left open.
The incident occurred at the District Hospital in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, with the video of the event going viral on December 1.
Visuals show patients lying on beds in the hospital ward. Moments later, a black dog enters the ward and grabs food left on a table for a patient before running away.
According to reports, animals frequently enter the hospital premises through the back gate, causing widespread disruptions in the children’s, male, and female wards. Dogs have been spotted roaming with stolen items in their mouths, while monkeys have been seen near ward gates, snatching food and water from attendants. In some cases, monkeys mistook medicines in polythene bags for food and took them as well.
Addressing the issue, Dr. Mukund Bansal, Chief Medical Superintendent of the district hospital, stated, “Instructions have been issued to employees, paramedical staff, and doctors to prevent animals from entering the wards. The viral video has not yet come to our attention, but if it is confirmed that dogs are taking patients’ food, appropriate action will be taken against the responsible employee.”
The incident highlights the urgent need for stricter security measures at the hospital to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and attendants.
