Speeding car wreak havoc in western India, several injured
by Ekta ChaubeyA tragic incident unfolded in western India’s Maharashtra, where a speeding car lost control and ploughed into pedestrians and motorists, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.
The accident occurred at Mahatma Phule Chowk in Ahilyanagar district on November 25.
Visuals showed the victims were standing along the roadside at a bustling intersection when a speeding car veered towards them and struck them. In the process, the vehicle also collided with passing motorcyclists. Altogether, several sustained injuries in the incident.
According to reports, a 29-year-old man succumbed to his injuries, while four others sustained serious wounds. Eyewitnesses described the chaos as the car veered off course, hitting people standing at a busy intersection and colliding with passing motorcyclists. In total, 5-6 individuals were injured. The driver, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, has been detained by the police.
Authorities confirmed that the driver’s blood samples have been sent for testing, and a case has been registered. Further investigations are underway to determine the exact circumstances of the crash.
