In a tragic incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a 17-year-old allegedly drove a speeding SUV into a woman walking along the roadside, leaving her fatally injured.

The incident took place between CRC Sublimis and Casa Royale road in the Bisrakh area of Greater Noida city on October 30.

Visuals showed the woman walking by the side of the road when a speeding SUV, after overtaking a tractor, lost control. The vehicle drifted sharply and struck the woman with force, dragging her along until both collided with a pole.

According to reports, the accident took place around 11:45 AM on Wednesday. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Shilpi from Jatpura in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district, was on her way to work at a construction site. Though the minor fled the scene, police apprehended him on Friday.
