Speeding car causes devastating crash, runs over pedestrian

The incident occurred at Zenda Chowk in Basmat, Hingoli district, Maharashtra, on December 22.
In the visuals, a speeding car is seen crashing into parked bikes and a shop before running over a man. The vehicle’s wheels ran over him twice. Three people immediately rushed to assist the injured man.
The victim, identified as 35-year-old Syed Ilyas, was attended to by the police from the city station after being notified of the incident. He was quickly transported to the sub-district hospital for urgent care. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to a hospital in Nanded after receiving initial treatment.
The driver abandoned the car at the scene and fled. Residents expressed anger over the driver’s actions, as the injured man was left on the road without assistance. Police have seized the vehicle and launched a search to locate the driver. A case is being registered, and further investigations are underway.
