Soldiers celebrate victory in central India after eliminating 10 maoists in encounter

Following the success, the District Reserve Guards (DRG) celebrated by dancing to local music, marking a triumphant moment in the fight against Left Wing Extremism.
The incident took place at a forested area under the jurisdiction of the Bhejji police station in Sukma district on November 22.
Visuals showed the DRG personnel celebrating their victory with enthusiastic dances to local music, symbolizing their morale and determination in countering Naxal activities.
Based on intelligence inputs about the presence of Maoists in the Korajguda hills and nearby villages, a joint team of security forces, including the District Reserve Guards (DRG), launched an offensive that resulted in the elimination of at least ten Naxalites.
Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P confirmed the operation’s success, noting that the Maoistskilled were linked to the Konta and Kistaram area committees. Following the encounter, the security forces recovered an arsenal, including an AK-47 rifle, an INSAS rifle, and a Self-Loading Rifle, among other weapons.
This victory comes on the heels of another operation earlier this month in Bastar’s Kanker region, where five Naxalites were neutralized. The government’s intensified approach against Left Wing Extremism, bolstered by Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s assurance of its complete eradication by March 2026, underscores the commitment to securing peace in the region.
