Gold concealed in buttons of ladies’ dresses intercepted at delhi airport
The passenger, an Indian national traveling from Jeddah on flight SV-756, was flagged for further inspection after customs officers detected suspicious images during an X-ray scan of his baggage. Utilizing spot profiling techniques, officials decided to conduct a meticulous manual examination of the passenger’s belongings.
During the inspection, customs officers discovered 201 silver-coated rings that were cleverly disguised as metal buttons sewn into the garments.
