In a shocking incident, 30 gold smugglers easily left the airport in front of the security personnel in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place in Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow on April 2.

Visuals showed gold smugglers exiting the airport without obstruction from security personnel. Although one security officer made an initial attempt to intervene, they halted upon noticing a sick youth nearby.

After 30 gold smugglers got away from the airport, supposedly pretending one of them was sick, lots of teams tried to catch them but couldn’t. The Customs Department punished some of their own people for what happened. Even though they tried, they still don’t know where the smugglers are. But the police are trying hard to stop smuggling in different parts of Uttar Pradesh.

At first, the police said the smugglers fought with the security guards to get away. But a video showed a security guard trying to stop them peacefully.

Not long ago, the Customs Department caught 36 smugglers at Lucknow Airport with a bunch of foreign cigarettes and gold. But during that, the 30 gold smugglers escaped, making the Customs Department look bad. They say these smugglers hid gold in their bodies. Even though the local police are trying, they haven’t caught the smugglers yet.

The Customs Department had lodged an FIR in the matter.
