Sick tribal woman carried on makeshift stretcher due to lack of roads in southern India’s village
In southern India’s Andhra Pradesh, a sick tribal woman, Himaraka Rajini, found herself in a dire situation due to the lack of basic infrastructure.
The incident took place in Parvathipuram Manyam district on August 21.
Visuals showed how the family members are carrying the ill lady on a makeshift stretcher being carried by men with the help of a single stick on muddy roads.
According to reports, with no proper road leading from her village, Gajulaguda, to the nearest accessible road in Kemishila, local villagers were forced to carry her on a makeshift stretcher, known as a “doli,” for 2 kilometers.

Once they reached the Kemishila thaar road, the woman was finally transported to the hospital by ambulance. Despite numerous changes in government over the years, the situation for these tribal communities remains the same. The locals lament that no matter who is in power, their struggles persist.
