A shocking incident has surfaced from northern India’s Uttar Pradesh where a woman was subjected to acid attack in daylight.

The incident took place near Lohia Park in Lucknow’s Chowk area on July 3.

Visuals showed the woman appearing weak and struggling to support herself while a man attempted to assist her by pouring water on her face before swiftly carrying her to receive medical attention.

According to officials, Deputy Commissioner of Police for the West Zone, Durgesh Kumar, has confirmed that both girls were promptly sent for medical assistance by bystanders and are currently receiving medical care. Prof. Vijay Kumar, head of the plastic surgery department at KGMU, reported that one victim sustained 5% burns on her face. He mentioned that they are evaluating the injuries and will perform reconstructive surgery if necessary. The victim’s cousin also suffered burns and is undergoing medical assessment, with appropriate treatment being provided for recovery.
