Shocking! Violent attack carried on slums in northern India by Hindu Raksha Dal workers
In a disturbing incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, Hindu Raksha Dal workers violently attacked slums
Visuals showed that the workers identified the residents as Bangladeshis, assaulted them with sticks, destroyed their huts, and set some of their belongings ablaze.
According to reports, the attack occurred in the Kavinagar area, where Hindu Raksha Dal President Bhupendra alias Pinky Choudhary claimed that 12-15 slums were occupied by residents alleged to be Bangladeshis. Despite issuing a 24-hour ultimatum to the government to address purported atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, no action was taken, leading the workers to conduct the attack on August 10.
Earlier, on August 7, Choudhary had threatened similar actions against Bangladeshis in India if the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh continued. On August 8, Hindu Raksha Dal workers had already carried out a violent attack in Delhi’s Shastri Park, targeting youths in a slum area and accusing them of being Bangladeshi.
The police have identified Daksh Choudhary, a member of the Hindu Raksha Dal, as a central figure in these violent incidents. Known for his previous controversies, including a mosque incident in Ghaziabad, Daksh has been arrested twice before and is now under investigation for his involvement in the recent attacks.
