Shocking! Rickshaw puller falls into drain after becoming unconscious in northern India
by Ekta ChaubeyIn a heart-wrenching incident in northern India’s Delhi, a rickshaw puller fell into a roadside drain and tragically lost his life.
The incident occurred in the Paschim Vihar area of the West Delhi district on August 26.
Visuals showed the moment as the rickshaw puller was seen sitting on his rickshaw before collapsing on the road. The footage showed him attempting to rise but ultimately falling unconscious.
According to reports, a police officer revealed that the deceased Sonu was a resident of Peeragarhi Camp and was suffering from seizures. Around 8 am, he was at the main gate of Janta Flats, A-6, in Paschim Vihar when he experienced a seizure near the drain. Unable to escape, he fell into the shallow drain and drowned.
Sonu was transported to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where he was declared dead during treatment. His relatives reviewed CCTV footage and did not suspect any foul play. The police have initiated an inquest under section 194 of BNSS.
