Shocking! People seen traveling through waterlogged streets using excavator in northern India
In a distressing incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, people were seen traveling through a severely waterlogged region using a excavator machine for rescue operations.
The incident took place in Mathura district on August 23.
Visuals showed people navigating the flooded streets while other vehicles, including a school bus, were submerged in the water, with infrastructure damaged extensively. The roads caved in at multiple locations, leaving the city in a chaotic state.
According to reports, the Municipal Corporation had to deploy a JCB to rescue stranded individuals. Areas like Bhuteshwar, Kankali, New Bus Stand, Old Bus Stand, National Highway, and BSA College faced significant waterlogging. The heavy rains led to widespread inundation across many parts of Uttar Pradesh, with Mathura being one of the most affected areas.
Due to incessant rains, the situation in Mathura has become dire, spreading concern across the region. The city witnessed infrastructure collapse as roads caved in, and vehicles, including carts and buses, were submerged, forcing people to use unconventional means like JCBs to navigate the streets.
