Shocking! Mobile snatchers drag student for 350 Meters in northern India

In a shocking incident in northern India’s Punjab, bike-borne robbers snatched a mobile phone from a student and dragged her for 350 meters.

The incident took place in the Green Model area of Jalandhar district on September 6.

Visuals showed three men on a bike. The driver, a young man wearing a turban, was accompanied by two others, one of whom had his face covered with a handkerchief. The bike stopped near the student, and the driver said sorry to her. Before the girl could react, the person seated behind tried to snatch her phone. Despite her resistance, the robbers accelerated the bike, dragging her along the road as she clung to the phone. Bystanders attempted to chase the robbers, but they managed to escape with the phone.

According to reports, the victim, an 18-year-old girl, Laxmi, originally from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, was returning home with her younger sister and a neighbor’s daughter after meeting her sister-in-law. Punjab Police have launched a search for the accused. A similar incident occurred in Kartarpur recently, where two individuals were arrested for similar offenses. Gurvinder Singh alias Ginda and Jaspreet Singh alias Jassa were apprehended for multiple snatching cases in the area.
