Shocking! Leopard sighting sparks fear among students in central India’s boys’ hostel

In a startling incident in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, students at Dr. Harisingh Gour Central University were left in fear after a leopard was seen near the boys’ hostel.

The incident took place in Sagar district and the video went viral on October 15.

Visuals showed the leopard walking on a deserted road surrounded by dense trees, spreading panic despite the absence of people. The area appeared eerily silent, but the predator’s presence instilled terror in the region.

According to reports, as soon as the video emerged, local residents informed the forest department. Sagar Sub-Divisional Forest Officer Hemant Yadav confirmed the video’s authenticity and said that the leopard was indeed roaming in the forested area near the university. Authorities, including university management, were immediately notified, and students were advised to avoid unnecessary movement due to the proximity of the forest. A search team has been deployed to track the leopard, and cautionary signs will be installed to warn about the leopard’s presence.
