Shocking! IT engineer with family attacked by mob while travelling in western India
by ShravyaIn a terrifying incident in western India’s Maharashtra, an IT engineer and his family were attacked by a mob on a remote road.
The incident took place on Lavale-Nande Road in Pune district on September 29.
Visuals showed the mob, armed with sticks, rods, and stones, chasing the engineer’s vehicle, further intensifying the distress of the late-night attack. The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with the footage going viral, raising concerns about road safety in the region.
According to reports, Ravi Karnani, an IT engineer from Susgaon, alleged that he and his family were targeted by a mob of around 40 people due to their vehicle’s non-local registration. Karnani suspects that a notorious local gang was involved in the assault. Shockingly, despite local police patrolling the area, they did not intervene and were seen siding with the attackers. The mob damaged Karnani’s car after two motorcyclists forced him to stop, with more assailants joining soon after.
Following Karnani’s complaint, the Paud Police have filed a case against unknown individuals and launched an investigation into the attack.
