Shocking hit-and-run in southern India: woman thrown into air by speeding car, driver arrested
A horrifying hit-and-run incident in southern India’s Telangana has left a woman critically injured after being struck by a speeding car.
The incident took place near Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kukatpally in Hyderabad on September 1.
Visuals showed the woman crossing the road when a car, traveling at high speed, suddenly hit her. The impact was so severe that she was thrown several feet into the air before landing on the pavement.
According to reports, the driver fled the scene but was later apprehended by the police.
The victim was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently receiving treatment. The driver, who has been arrested, now faces serious charges, including reckless driving and causing grievous injury.
