Shocking! Gold Jewellery worth $5,900 (Rs. 4.95 lakh) stolen in daylight in western India
In a startling incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a couple’s gold jewellery valued at $5,900 was stolen from their motorcycle.

The incident took place in Shewalewadi area of  Pune city on August 29.


Visuals showed the couple leaving their scooter to enter a shop, leaving behind a bag containing the jewellery and important documents attached to their motorcycle. Thieves took advantage of their brief absence, stealing the bag from the motorcycle. The couple discovered the theft upon their return, leading to a frantic search of their belongings.

According to reports, the theft was promptly reported to the police. Police personnel Shrikant Pandule is investigating the case. Reportedly, the jewellery was stolen after the couple had retrieved it from a bank and made a stop for a snake at Shewalewadi. The 69-year-old complainant, residing in Whitefield Society, Manjri Budruk, had gone to the State Bank of India’s Uruli Kanchan branch to reclaim jewellery that had been kept as collateral.
