Shocking! Chaos unfolds as leopard strays into settlement in western India
In a dramatic incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a leopard strayed from the forest and caused panic in a residential settlement.
The incident took place in the Binba gate area of Chandrapur district on September 5.
Visuals showed the leopard entering the settlement, chasing dogs through the streets, and spreading terror late in the day.
According to reports, the situation escalated forcing forest officials and the police to be deployed to manage the chaos. The rescue operation of the leopard began at 5 am and lasted for eight-and-a-half hours, concluding successfully at 1.30 pm. The full-grown male leopard was safely captured and transferred to a transit treatment center in Chichpalli, bringing much-needed relief to the residents.
