The incident took place at Kandibanda in Mellacheruvu mandal of Suryapet district on September 2.
Visuals showed the bridge broken from the middle, with visible cracks and scattered rocks, creating a chaotic scene. Locals appeared distressed at the sight, while the collapse brought traffic to a complete halt.
According to reports, the bridge, which was an old structure, collapsed due to severe flooding. The police administration was put on high alert as the pond caved in, causing flood waters to rise. Commuters traveling between Mellacheruvu and Kodada are now facing significant difficulties, with traffic severely disrupted.
