Severe waterlogging on main road in northern India creates hazard for residents, vehicles
A stretch of road in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh has become treacherous due to severe waterlogging and thick mud, creating a nightmare for trucks and tempos trying to pass through.
The incident took place in the Greater Noida area of Gautam Buddha District and the video went viral on November 4.
Visuals showed a road was in terrible condition, covered in muddy water and heavy waterlogging. The entire stretch was filled with sludge, making it extremely difficult for vehicles like trucks and tempos to pass through. Drivers faced significant challenges maneuvering through the murky, slippery path, which was both dangerous and life-threatening due to the thick mud and poor visibility. The condition of the road made even basic transit a risky ordeal, posing hazards for all types of vehicles.
Frustrated by the dire condition of the road, locals expressed their anger towards the Noida Authority, voicing their grievances and complaints. They stated, “The Greater Noida Authority should be ashamed. What have they done to the city? This is a tarnished image of our country’s showcase. Every day, citizens face difficulties.” The residents emphasized the need for immediate action to address the ongoing issues, highlighting the persistent distress they experience due to the inadequate infrastructure.
