Dust storms accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning occur in western India’s Maharashtra.

The incident took place in Mumbai city on may 13.

The visuals depicted a tree rotating in circular motion due to the fast-paced wind.

Today at 3 pm, a sudden weather change caused traffic disruptions as commuters sought shelter from the storm. Mumbai’s Ghatkopar, Bandra Kurla, and Dharavi regions experienced strong winds and rain. According to the latest weather forecast, thunderstorms with lightning, heavy rainfall, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 50-60 km/hr are expected in isolated areas of Palghar and Thane districts in the next 3-4 hours.

Incidents of fallen trees have been reported due to the strong winds. In Navi Mumbai, a tree fell onto a busy road in Airoli Sector 5. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but traffic was affected as commuters parked their vehicles safely because of the persistent strong winds.
