Several ibex spotted strolling in steep cliffs in northern India

Ibex that were once threatened by hunting, were spotted in steep cliffs of northern India’s Himachal Pradesh on March 29.

The incident took place in Ropa valley in Kinnaur district.

Visuals feature a couple of ibex roaming around the mountains in daylight, astonishing onlookers. Familiar with the surroundings, the wild goats take a majestic stroll across the cliff.

The ibex was often hunted for its meat, with other body parts used for medicine.

However, people in Kinnaur district protect this species of wild goat at all costs, making the creatures familiar with the place. Adult males weigh around 100 kg (220 pounds), while females are about 50 kg (110 pounds).
