SDRF successfully controls forest fire near training centre in northern India

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) swiftly responded to a forest fire in northern India’s Uttarakhand.
The incident took place in near the Nim Training Centre in Uttarkashi on May 31.
Visuals showed how almost the whole forest was on fire and the SDRF trying their level best to bring it under control.
The fire, which threatened to spread rapidly due to dry conditions, was reported early in the morning.
Upon receiving the alert, a team led by Additional Sub Inspector Bijendra Kudiyal from Post Ujeli was dispatched to the scene. The team included Constables Baru Singh, Dhanraj, and Dinesh Chauhan. Utilizing alternative firefighting methods, the SDRF effectively contained and extinguished the blaze, preventing potential environmental damage.
The prompt action of the SDRF team was crucial in safeguarding the surrounding forest area and ensuring the safety of nearby residents and the training center. Their efforts underscore the importance of rapid response and skilled intervention in managing natural disasters.
