Scorpio crashes into shop in northern India: driver hits accelerator instead of brake, two Injured

In a shocking incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a Scorpio vehicle crashed into a shop after the driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake.

The incident took place at a tire and battery shop in Manikpur Asna located in the Ghosi Kotwali police station area of Mau district on August 13.

Visuals from inside showed a man sitting at the counter and another standing beside him when the Scorpio crashes through the entrance, causing both to fall backward. The two men sustained minor injuries, with one injuring his hand and the other his leg.

Footage from another CCTV camera outside the shop shows the moment when the Scorpio approaches the shop and unexpectedly accelerates. The vehicle’s front half enters the shop, causing panic. The driver’s companion quickly helps him out of the vehicle, but not before a crowd gathers and a brief scuffle ensues.

According to reports, the driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to climb the stairs and crash into the shop.

Fortunately, the vehicle was moving at a slow speed, preventing a major accident. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
