School bus collides with public roadways bus in northern India, 40 children injured

Forty children were injured in a head-on collision between two buses in northern India’s Punjab.
The incident took place in Jagraon city, Ludhiana district on May 15.
Visuals showed a huge crowd gathered around two damaged buses. The front part of both buses were shattered.
Parents were seen screaming and pulling their children out of the school bus. Children were seen crying loudly.
Few of the children suffered minor cuts. Ten passengers travelling in the roadways bus were also injured.
All the injured were taken to hospitals in Ludhiana. The condition of the three children is stated to be serious.
Ludhiana Rural Police District Superintendent of Police (SP) Satinder Singh Virk said, “The school bus was going to drop students back at their homes when the incident occurred”.
