Sambar deer strays into residential area in central India, rescued
A massive sambar deer was rescued after it had strayed into a residential area in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.
This incident happened at the E-block in Police Line Colony close to the Panna Tiger Reserve on April 2.
Visuals showed the big deer sitting on the staircase of the building. The animal sat peacefully and looked around a bit before rescue officials came to the spot and started working towards capturing the animal. People had gathered in the area to catch a glimpse of the wild animal and it was later put into the back of a vehicle by officials of the Panna Tiger Reserve before being taken away from the area. As per a report, the deer’s presence in the area caused people to panic and chaos ensued in the area as a result.
The forest department officials arrived at the spot and the rescue operation took one-and-a-half-hours to complete. After a lot of hard work, the deer was caught and it was learnt that the animal was released later on in the wild.
