RPF rescues passenger falling from moving train in western India
In a recent incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a heroic rescue was done by an RPF constable where he saved a passenger from falling in the gap between a platform and a moving train.
The incident took place at Bandra Terminus Railway station in the Mumbai Suburban district on July 8.
Visuals showed a passenger running to catch his train, however in the attempt he falls on the platform and slides towards the gap. A cop swiftly intervenes and successfully rescues him from encountering an unfortunate mishap.
Speaking to Newslions, Jagdish Prasad Das, Inspector at RPF Bandra Terminus Railway Station, stated that on July 08, at 12:00 PM, a passenger at platform number 04 attempted to board a moving train. Station staff Mr. Richpal Singh tried to stop him, but the passenger fell on the platform. Mr. Singh immediately ran after him and prevented him from falling between the train and the tracks. The passenger reported minor injuries and was seated on the train once it stopped.
