RPF constable narrowly escapes injury during mechanical fittings duty in India
Constable Mithilesh Kumar of RPF/POST/BDC had a close call while performing mechanical fittings duty on a stable train rake as it unexpectedly started moving, but he managed to save himself just in time.
The video went viral on July 19.
Visuals showed a train was moving along the tracks, and beneath it, a police officer lay flat on the railway track. With remarkable bravery, he adjusted himself precisely in the narrow gap between the train and the tracks. As the train passed over him, he remained perfectly still, ensuring his body fit within the small space, ultimately saving his life.
According to reports Ct MithileshKumar of RPF/POST/BDC was diligently performing mechanical fittings duty on what was presumed to be a stable train rake. While he was lying down to carry out his work, the rake unexpectedly started to move. Despite the sudden and dangerous situation, Mithilesh Kumar acted swiftly and managed to save himself from potential injury.
This incident highlights the unpredictable nature of railway duties and the quick thinking required to ensure safety. Constable Kumar’s quick reflexes and presence of mind averted what could have been a serious accident.
