Routine training turns chaotic as MiG-29 crashes in northern India, pilot safely ejects

In a tense incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a MiG-29 fighter jet crashed, with the pilot managing to eject moments before the impact.
The incident took place near Agra on November 4.
Visuals showed the MiG-29 spiraling out of control, rapidly descending before hitting the ground in a burst of flames. One video showed the jet in a flat spin, plummeting towards the earth, while onlookers watched the scene in shock. Another video featured locals rushing to assist the pilot, who descended safely under a parachute, landing near a group of concerned bystanders.
According to reports, the pilot appeared unharmed and was quickly escorted to a secure location by locals. The jet reportedly crashed during a routine training exercise due to a technical malfunction, as confirmed by Indian Air Force and defense officials. The MiG-29 had taken off from Adampur in Punjab, heading to Agra for a training exercise when the incident occurred. A court of inquiry has been ordered to investigate the crash.
