Rohtash Chaudhary shatters boundaries with 704 Push-Ups to break Pakistan’s Guinness world record in western India

In an awe-inspiring feat in western India’s Gujarat, Rohtash Chaudhary shattered Pakistan’s Guinness World Record by completing 704 one-legged push-ups with a 27.875 kg weight within an hour.

The record-breaking event took place at the Town Hall in Gandhinagar district on November 10

 
Visuals from the event showed Chaudhary executing push-ups with remarkable determination as a 27 kg weight rested on his back. Enthusiastic spectators cheered him on, and the hall resounded with applause when he achieved the milestone. Afterwards, Chaudhary stood proudly with the Indian flag, basking in his achievement as he received awards and recognition amid a jubilant atmosphere.
Speaking to Newslions, he revealed, “I practised daily for four hours.” Chaudhary surpassed Pakistan’s previous record of 534 push-ups, set just 22 days earlier. He began his journey in 2004 as a boxer but pivoted to yoga and strength training following a back injury that temporarily confined him to bed rest. Reflecting on his struggles, he shared, “People’s sympathy motivated me to prove myself.”

In 2015, Chaudhary made headlines with a record of 10,200 push-ups in 7.5 hours, dedicating his achievement to Iron Man Patel. Over the years, he has broken multiple world records, including England’s 2016 record of 36 push-ups with 36.6 kg in a minute, completing 51 push-ups in the same timeframe.Looking ahead, Chaudhary has set his sights on breaking the USA’s record of 1,100 push-ups with a 40 lbs weight. He expressed his desire to dedicate this future accomplishment to Indian soldiers.
