Robber commits daylight theft in northern India, steals copper urn from temple

In a disturbing incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a thief was caught on camera stealing a copper urn from a Shiva temple.

The incident took place in the Nawabganj area of Kanpur district on September 15.

Visuals showed the thief entering the temple during a time when no one was present. He initially prayed briefly and then carefully checked the surroundings to ensure the area was clear. After performing Jalabhishek and bowing to the idol, he seized the opportunity and fled with the copper urn.

According to reports, the theft took place in broad daylight and is currently under investigation. Authorities are reviewing footage and gathering information to apprehend the suspect.
