Road collapses in northern India after heavy rain; PWD officials rush to spot
A road in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh collapsed last night due to heavy rainfall, prompting officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) to immediately reach the location.
The incident took place in Lucknow on September 12.
Visuals showed a section of the road had fractured after the rain, causing it to cave in inward. The collapse created a noticeable dip, with the road surface appearing cracked and uneven. Debris and damaged pavement were scattered around the affected area, highlighting the severity of the erosion caused by the heavy rainfall.
Late last night, a road in Lucknow succumbed to the heavy rains, resulting in a sudden collapse. The incident occurred after continuous rainfall weakened the structure, leading to concerns among the residents.
Upon receiving reports, officials from the Public Works Department swiftly arrived at the scene to assess the damage and initiate repair work.
