Rhino attacks 37-year-old biker on road in northeastern india
In a tragic incident, a 37-year-old man lost his life after being attacked by a rhino in the middle of the road in northeastern India’s Assam.
The incident took place near Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in Morigaon district on September 29.
Visuals showed the rhino charging toward the biker on the road. Fear forced him to abandon his bike and run to a safer place. The rhino did not stop there and pursued him for a while. The bike rider ultimately died.
The deceased was identified as Saddam Hussain (37), a resident of the Sonapur Kachutali area in Kamrup (Metro) district.
According to reports, a rhinoceros exited the wildlife sanctuary and attacked a biker near Haduk Bridge while he was traveling from Mayong to the Chamata area on his motorcycle. Forest official Nayan Jyoti Das stated, “The rhino came out of the wildlife sanctuary, and we are currently investigating the incident.” Further investigation is underway.
