Rescue operation in western India: Four people airlifted amidst flood by Indian Air Force
In a dramatic rescue operation in western India’s Gujarat, four people were airlifted by an IAF helicopter as floods ravaged the region.
The incident took place in Kalyanpur tehsil of Devbhumi Dwarka district on August 29.
Visuals showed the area submerged due to severe flooding, with relentless rainfall pounding the region. The video captured two men being safely airlifted by the helicopter and brought to safety amidst the challenging conditions.
According to reports, the flood situation in the rain-battered coastal districts of Saurashtra and Vadodara city deteriorated on Wednesday. Torrential rains have continued to lash many parts of the state for the fourth consecutive day. Since Sunday, a total of 28 people have lost their lives in the state. Thirteen people died due to drowning, while others perished in wall or house collapses. Two individuals also lost their lives in tree collapses.
