This incident happened in Nagwain village of Mandi district on July 9.
Visuals showed the rescue operation underway with the officials saving the trapped with the help of a rope. A massive and sturdy rope was tied to both ends of the river and the people trapped were made to cross the river with the help of that. The waters in the river were raging due to it overflowing as a result of the rains. The officials, with much care, ensured that these trapped people were brought from one end of the river to the other. A huge crowd had gathered at the spot.
Himachal Pradesh has witnessed heavy rainfall which has led to flash floods throughout the streets. These floods have taken apart houses, trees and wreaked havoc in the state, leading to the death of five people.
