Renowned Indian actress injured as stage collapses during event in southern India

The incident took place in the Thorrur municipality of Mahabubabad district on October 3.
Visuals showed the vibrant atmosphere of the event, with colorful confetti floating in the air as the audience enjoyed the moment. Moments later, chaos ensued as the stage crumbled, sending everyone present tumbling down while spectators gasped in disbelief. Immediate efforts to assist those affected began as people rushed to help.
According to reports, Priyanka Mohan was the chief guest for the opening of Kasam Shopping Mall when the accident occurred. Alongside her was Congress politician Hanumandla Jhansi Reddy, who also sustained injuries. After receiving preliminary treatment at a local hospital, she was transferred to Hyderabad for better care.
Priyanka took to social media to reassure her well-wishers, stating, “In light of the accident that occurred at an event I had attended in Thorrur today, I wanted to let my well-wishers know that I’m okay and was lucky to escape with minor injuries. My prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery to those who may have suffered any injuries in the incident.” She expressed gratitude to everyone for their kind messages of support, saying, “Thank you for your love and care.”
