In a rare and dramatic encounter, a young tiger and a cobra came face-to-face in the forests of western India’s Maharashtra.
The incident took place at Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve in Chandrapur district on August 8.
Visuals showed the tiger standing in the middle of a muddy creek, appearing to prepare to cross the stream. Suddenly, a cobra emerged from the water, startling the tiger. The cobra, sensing danger, turned towards the tiger, flaring its hood in a menacing display. The tiger, rather than attacking or fleeing, cautiously stepped back, keeping a safe distance from the venomous snake.
According to reports, the video was recorded by Sudhir Charmode, a tour guide at Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve and Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary. The video was shared by IFS officer Ramesh Pandey and has since garnered widespread attention online.
