Railway tracks submerge amidst torrential rains in northern India
In a dramatic turn of events in northern India’s Rajasthan, heavy rains have led to severe flooding in the city, disrupting normal life.
The incident took place at Maharishi Kapil Muni Kolayat of Bikaner district on August 2.
Visuals from the area showed railway tracks completely submerged, giving the illusion that trains were running on water. The water level had risen to platform height, creating a striking sight of trains gliding over the flooded tracks.

According to reports, the downpour, which started in the last 24 hours, has resulted in 15 mm of rain, causing flood-like conditions across several areas. Streets in Bikaner have turned into rivers, and the situation has become particularly critical at the railway stations.

Similar flood conditions have been reported in Tonk district, where the Masii River is in spate. The Piploo to Bagri road has been inundated with more than 3 feet of water, severely affecting local transportation.
