Quick-thinking constable saves elderly man’s life with CPR in northern India

The incident took place at Agra Cantt GRP Police Station (Government Railway Police) in Agra on September 16.
Visuals showed an elderly man was seated on a chair when he suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground. Immediately recognizing the critical situation, a constable present at the scene began administering CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). Both constables on duty took turns performing CPR for an extended period, continuously applying chest compressions and rescue breaths. After sustained efforts, the man eventually regained consciousness. Gradually, he sat back up, recovering from the medical emergency, thanks to the timely and coordinated intervention by the constables.
At approximately 10 PM two elderly men arrived at the GRP police station in Agra Cantt to report a lost mobile phone. Constable Rakesh Kumar and Constable Ravendra Chaudhary were on night duty at the time. One of the elderly men, while receiving the report acknowledgment from Constable Ravendra, suddenly collapsed.
Reacting immediately, Constable Ravendra Chaudhary began administering CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) to the man. Within just one minute of performing CPR, the elderly man’s condition stabilized, and his life was saved. The quick and decisive action of Constable Ravendra proved critical in this life-threatening situation.
The heroic act was lauded by witnesses, as Constable Ravendra’s timely response ensured the elderly man received immediate medical attention. His training and presence of mind exemplified the importance of quick intervention during emergencies.
The event highlighted the importance of having well-trained officers who can respond efficiently in critical situations. Gratitude poured in from the public, praising Constable Ravendra for his life-saving efforts.
