Quick response by fire crew saves lives in hotel fire in southern India
A swift response by the fire brigade averted a potential tragedy as they rescued eight individuals trapped in a fire that erupted early this morning in southern India’s Telangana.
The incident took place at the Mohan Nagar Oyo Hotel in Chaitanyapuri, Hyderabad on May 3.
Visuals showed a police and fire tender team rescuing people who were stuck inside the hotel.
In the early hours of today, a fire broke out at the Mohan Nagar Oyo Hotel in Chaitanyapuri, Hyderabad, reportedly sparked by a short circuit. The blaze quickly engulfed portions of the hotel, trapping several occupants inside.
However, the prompt action by the LB Nagar fire crew prevented what could have been a catastrophic outcome. Responding swiftly to the emergency call, the firefighters managed to rescue all eight individuals from the burning building. Unfortunately, two of the rescued individuals suffered from smoke inhalation and were rushed to Osmania Hospital for medical treatment. While one of them has been discharged after receiving necessary medical care, the condition of the other remains stable under observation. The incident underscores the critical importance of well-trained emergency response teams in mitigating the impact of such unforeseen disasters.
