Update: Python from Tiger Reserve causes panic in northern India, successfully rescued

A massive python slithered into a village in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, creating chaos among the residents. The Sariska Wildlife Department’s rescue team quickly responded and safely removed the snake.

The incident took place at Rupbas village, located in the Tahla region near Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar district on September 16.

Visuals showed after the sighting of the snake in the village, chaos ensued as panic spread among the villagers. The Forest Department’s rescue team was carefully handling the large python, attempting to place it inside a bore for safe transport. A large crowd of villagers had gathered around, watching the rescue operation with a mix of curiosity and concern. The atmosphere was tense, with people whispering and pointing, while the rescue team worked swiftly to secure the snake and bring the situation under control.

Speaking to Newslions, Rishi Kumar, Range office of Alwar said late last night, villagers of Rupbas (Tahla) were startled when a python, believed to have wandered from the nearby Sariska Tiger Reserve, was found creeping through the area. The sudden presence of the large snake caused panic among the locals, prompting them to alert authorities immediately.

In response, a rescue team from the Sariska Forest Department was dispatched to the scene. With great care and expertise, they managed to capture the python without causing harm to either the animal or the villagers. The successful rescue operation restored calm in the village.

Villagers have praised the quick action of the rescue team, who ensured the safety of both the community and the wildlife.
