Protesters climb water tank in central India, demand action against corruption
In a dramatic protest in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, locals climbed a water tank, threatening suicide if their demands against corruption were not addressed.
The incident took place in Dhenko village of Mandla district on November 5.

Visuals showed around 7-8 individuals, including the district vice president, standing atop the tank under the scorching sun, loudly voicing their grievances. The surrounding residents appeared alarmed as they watched the demonstrators, deeply concerned over the situation.According to reports, district vice president Sandeep Singor led the protest, joined by over a dozen individuals, to demand accountability for the alleged misuse of funds within a local scheme.  Singor claimed that despite repeated complaints about embezzlement and fake bills totaling lakhs of rupees, officials had ignored the issue for over six months, driving the frustrated residents to take this extreme step.
